Purple Pelican Designs website update

[siteorigin_widget class=”SiteOrigin_Widget_Headline_Widget”][/siteorigin_widget]
We’ve been meaning to update our website for quite a while now. So long, in fact, that it was pretty much the oldest one we managed. It was becoming a bit of an embarrassment.

Well we’ve finally got round to it! This is a complete refresh. We have thoroughly rethought our website and reinvented it using new methods and techniques. We’ve worked hard to give the Purple Pelican Designs website a clean new look which is still recognisably ‘us’. That’s not to say we’ve thrown everything away; we’ve kept the logo and brand colours, for example, and some of the copy just needed an update. But we’ve recast the site navigation to make it easier to find your way around, and we’ve incorporated the knowledge base from our support site to make it easier to find.

Page builder

This is the first time we’ve used page builder software. This looks after the responsive layout, allowing to focus on content and design without worrying about how the page will look on a tablet or a phone. Responsive design is increasingly important now that over half of all web browsing is done on mobile devices. We’re really pleased with the results, and we’re already applying these methods to client projects, with amazing results!

We’ve also introduced this blog, in which we’ll be posting our thoughts on relevant and, hey, sometimes irrelevant issues; in particular we’ll be talking about technology and security topics. We hope you’ll find it interesting and enjoyable!
